I am the College Adviser at Coloma High School for this school year. Deciding what your next steps after graduating high school can be difficult to navigate, so I’m here as a resource to assist the students and parents. My goal is to have as many seniors as possible who enter and complete “college”. “College” meaning attainment of valuable post-secondary credentials beyond high school (i.e. trade school, community college, and universities, etc.).
I received my diploma from East Lansing High School and graduated from the Business School at Central Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in Personal Financial Planning. Since graduating from college I worked as a financial representative in Fort Worth, TX and also lived in Australia.
Some of the things I help with include meeting with every senior one-on-one, filing financial aid (FAFSA), campus/college rep visits, college applications, scholarships, and promoting a college-going culture in the school.
I’m excited to talk with the students about what they’re truly interested in and for them to reach their full potential. I will be in my office at Coloma High School Tuesday’s & Thursday’s and alternating Friday’s and Watevliet High School for the other half of the week, but feel free to reach out to me at any time.
