Mr. Mammel

I am from Milan, south of Ann Arbor, MI, having graduated in 1989.  I have a wonderful wife, also a teacher.  My daughter is 25, son is 19, and granddaughter is 3.  I currently live in Dowagiac, but my family has been in this area for many generations. 

For college, I have credits from 11 colleges and universities between a dramatic change in career from engineering to teaching, as well as continuing education credits.  I have a BS in civil engineering from Michigan Technological University, an MS in civil engineering from Wayne State University, and a teaching certificate from Saginaw Valley State University.  I worked as an engineer for 10 years before switching to teaching, which I have done for 15 years now.

This year I am teaching math, but in the past I have taught every math level as well as nearly every science.  I have also coached, advised, or mentored many activities such as robotics, track, cross-country, swimming, concessions, classes, environmental club, and drama.
