Hello and Welcome to my Home Page! I hope you will find an abundance of helpful links and information like: my lesson plans, photos from class, my calendar, links to resources, and posts about upcoming projects. I will update this web page periodically, but for daily information on what we're doing in my classes, please subscribe to my Google Classroom.

Coloma Community Schools is near and dear to my heart, as I am a proud alumna of the Class of 1987! My college experience began at Hope College, but I graduated from Olivet College in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. Over the last 31 years, it has been my privilege to work alongside outstanding educators, administrators and especially the 3,000+ students that make my "job" not seem like a job at all! I truly love learning alongside my students while teaching them about the intricacies of life from the chemical to global levels. I believe science education should be experiential, so my approach is to have students "doing science" as opposed to "reading about science."

My husband and I currently reside in Coloma and have two adult daughters. As a family we love to travel and enjoy lake life on the beaches of Lake Michigan and boating on Paw Paw Lake.
