I was hired by Coloma Community Schools in 2001 to be a math teacher in the junior high school.  A few years later, I was promoted to Assistant Principal where I stayed until 2010 when I was hired to be the principal of Coloma High School.

I am originally from a small town in Southern Illinois (Ava, IL) and I graduated from Trico High School in 1987.  I then spent the next 8 years as a member of the United States Army.  For the bulk of my military career, I was assigned to the 101st Airborne Division at Ft. Campbell, KY and as a member of the famed Screaming Eagles, was deployed during Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm.

When I was discharged, my wife and I moved to Fremont, MI where I attended and graduated from Muskegon Community College and then Ferris State University.  We moved to the Coloma area in 2001 when I was hired and subsequently raised our family.  Both of our daughters were fortunate enough to have graduated from Coloma High School (2009 & 2011).  During my time here, I also earned my Masters of Arts in Educational Leadership from Western Michigan University.

My wife and I currently reside about 10 miles south of Coloma High School where we enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside and raising Australian Shepherds.
